Re-Fret

Eventually, the frets on your guitar become worn to the point of needing to be replaced. Unfortunately, a few frets worn almost to the fingerboard can mean it's time for new frets.

This one had to go.

A re-fret is a labor intensive process, but can breath new life into a favorite old guitar. A re-fret also allows for the fingerboard to be planed and the fingerboard radius to be changed in some cases. There are a variety of fret sizes and shapes available.

Heat really helps getting old frets out without splitting the fingerboard.
