This will be matched up with a wenge/zircote fingerboard.
That zircote looks amazing.
Still working out the color scheme on this one, but for now we have the heel sorted and neck mounted.
This one did not have the contoured heel option, so I had to a bit of sculpting. Being a barritone, I wanted to leave more heel than ususal, but I also wanted to soften big blocky heel. The neck on these is also offset, so you have to install the inserts at an angle to compensate.
As usual, the neck mounting holes had to be filled and new oned drilled inward. I used a 1/4' walnut dowel.
I did two at a time, using two of the original holes as guides. Here we are, all ready for finishing.
