Here we have the color applied. This is a red dye, cut in alcohol, sanded back with a yellow dye afterward.

I gave it a burst, and still need to finish out the back, along with clear on the whole thing.

The effect of the two dyes creates a range of colors between red and yellow, looking orange from a distance.

This is a good time for a test fit, to make sure everything still lines up.

This setup has a 3 degree angle at the pocket.

Because of this, the insert needs to be drilled at a 3 degree angle as well.

This lines up when the neck and body are attached.

For now though, that's all we have.
